Fleeting Project: FOLKLORE ART SHOW

Fleeting Projects : Folklore Art Show

My favorite setup of one of Aimee's illustration. Beautiful!

The Folklore Art Show was a one night only gallery viewing at Renee’s Courtyard Cafe in Santa Monica. One of my favorite person and artist, Aimee Major Steinberg, was one of the three people who showcased her artwork. Along with Crystal Chesney-Thompson and Derek Thompson. The three collaborated on one theme that encompasses different but familiar folklore stories, such as The Little Mermaid, The Princess and the Pea, and The Bamboo Cutter.

All three artists are working animators for the show, Futurama, and are all extremely talented. Their style of illustration were all distinct from one another, but the overall theme and the fluidity of their drawing style (coming from an animation background) tied them all together in one night. It is  unfortunate that people only had one night to view their work in the gallery.
