My Anime Line Up for Fall

The summer of anime is almost over! It was really a good one, too [you can check out my review of Free! Iwatobi Swim Club]. I’m caught on on Shingeki no Kyojin [Attack on Titan], and so now I am both crying and laughing each week with the two animes.

But I digress, because now I am excited to talk about which anime I will be wasting hours on this coming fall.

The biggest theme I am seeing here is female focused anime, which will be a nice break I suppose from all the male-dominated stuff I have been watching as of late. However, I still haven’t seen anything that has really got me super excited at a first glance, so it will be interesting to see which anime I am still watching at the end of the season.

Which anime are you looking forward to this fall? Let me know! Maybe it’s something else I should be checking out.

Walkure Romanze
Starts in October

Why I want to watch it:

  • Female knights
  • Jousting
  • Female knights

Walkure Romanze  is based on an adult visual novel, which should give you some ideas about the art style. However, I am curious because female knights just sounds so freaking cool. And kind of hot. So.

Here are the two trailers that have been released for the anime so far.

Diabolik Lovers
Starts September 16

Why I want to watch it:

  • Vampires
  • Pretty boys

Ok, so I didn’t get away from pretty boys. I can’t help it. Diabolik Lovers is also based on a dating game about a girl who is attending a night school for the rich and famous, and meets 6 brothers who happen to be vampires. Who would have guessed!

Galilei Donna
Starts in October

Why I want to watch it:

  • Smart girls maybe?
  • Smart girls who are relations of Galileo

I will be honest that the main thing that snagged my attention here is that the three main characters are relations of Galileo. Other than that, nothing much has been revealed that I can find on the internets.

Strike the Blood
Starts in October

Why I want to watch it:

  • What. I like vampires.
  • A girl is the one that has to make sure a guy doesn’t get out of line

Strike the Blood is based on a manga based on a light novel. Koujo is apparently an all-powerful vampire, and Yukina is for some reason entrusted with watching over him to take him out if he acts out of line.

Samurai Flemenco
Starts in October

Why I want to watch it:

  • Because there is literally nothing said about it so far anywhere except someone is a hero
  • Except this guy is in a mech-like suit but is a cop what?
  • Men in uniforms? I think?

To prove how little there is to know about hit, this is the only trailer we have so far.
