Leigh Bardugo’s Grisha trilogy ends with Ruin and Rising and I got to go to the book launch party at The Last Bookstore in Los Angeles to celebrate with the author and her fans. This is also my first time at The Last Bookstore and it is a glorious store. Non-commercial bookstores with personality is super rare these days and I love that this place exist. It was a lot of fun to be there with the YA crowd and fellow Grisha fans.
When I arrived, the line to buy the book was very long and there was an open bar and delicious hor d’oeuvres being served. So fancy! There was even a nail salon station for people who wanted to sample the Ruin and Rising nail polish line. Marie Lu had introduced me to Bardugo’s books a year ago and I am a complete fangirl. I am so excited to read the last book and have all the feels. I highly, highly recommend it, check out www.LeighBardugo.com for more information. Check out these fancy banners to celebrate the book! Bardugo has an amazing stage presence. She also read from her diary from when she was 10 years old which was also pretty amazing and hilarious. This bookstore is so amazing, you guys. I’m in love with it. I want to live in here. Of course, there was a photobooth. Follow the Space Pirate Queen on twitter @punkagogo or check out her personal blog at SpacePirateQueen.com.
