Every year, a tiny, beautiful part of Los Angeles gets transformed into a fantasy realm for the annual Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade, produced by Sypher Studios. The event occurs in just one week, on August 5th and 6th, 2016,
Now in its 17th year, the masquerade ball is in its second year at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel, a storied historic building in downtown Los Angeles, built in 1923 in the Renaissance and Mediterranean Revival style, and home to the early years of the Academy Awards ceremonies.
We are giving away a pair of tickets to both Friday and Saturday of the masquerade! See bottom of article for how to enter!
Historic location notwithstanding, this year, Labyrinth once again will transform every ballroom in the Biltmore to a fantasy realm, complete with extravagant decor, lighting, and themed stage shows in each room.
This year, Sypher Studios has added a new experience for guests: the Twilight Grove, which will be located in the illustrious Biltmore Bowl room which once housed the Academy Awards. The Grove offers a chance for guests to watch and participate in performances and waltzes in a fairie forest-themed room.
For those wanting to enjoy a romantic dinner in their elegant attire, patrons can book reservations at the Biltmore’s Smeraldi’s Restaurant will be transformed into a Venetian-themed getaway.
The Emerald Ballroom will also be opened for guests, to house the registration area, as well as to present the Labyrinth Historium, an exhibit of costumes and artifacts from the World of Sypher and the Labyrinth Masquerade.
Of course, the main attraction at Labyrinth every year are the guests themselves, who are encouraged to dress in fantasy-themed costume or formal attire, and oh, how they do!
Tickets for the event start at just $50, and can be purchased here.
