The cosplay contest will be handled very differently from the traditional cosplay competition. Cosplayers will be broken up in groups and each judge will take a group. Cosplayers will have their pictures taken with other cosplayers (as appropriate to setting and characters), with the judges directing and/or watching how the cosplayers carry themselves in costumes. Judges will also watch for costume construction or how well the outfits are put together-- from the wigs, hair styles, make-up, jewelry, clothing choices, etc. At 3:30PM, judges will get together and will pick the winners to be announced before the concert starts. Cosplayers will be presented on the stage in the Village Plaza. Cosplayers may bring a reference picture of the character/outfit they are basing their cosplay from. Sign-up for the contest will be during SIGN-IN/REGISTRATION and throughout the day until the cosplay starts. Just find a staff member and they will sign you up or direct you to the person in-charge of sign-ups.
