This year I finally had an excuse to really gussy myself up like a classy mythical broad. I was invited to cover the third annual MYTH Masquerade Ball on May 24th, 2014 at the Los Angeles Theatre in Downtown LA.

Pssst, that’s me in the middle! I bought a wig and took any opportunity to creep on people dressed up as mermaids. I’m not sure if you can tell from my costume, but I was a “Sea Nymph”. As hard as I worked on my costume, it didn’t compare to the glorious outfits people sported at the event. Check out the pictures below to see the marvelous attendees!

As children we love to delve into the world of fantasy. We make believe to explore impossible worlds and meet incredible creatures of myth. Many of us as we have gotten older still hold onto these fantastical dreams and miss when we could “make believe.”

Lucky for those of us who still have this longing, there is an event when we can embrace that part of ourselves and explore the world of myth. That event is the 2014 MYTH Masquerade Ball.

On May 24th, 2014 at the beautiful Los Angeles Theatre you can participate in this exquisite world of myth! Come as your favorite mythical creature and experience the joy of childlike wonderment with the freedom of an adult. This is truly the best of both worlds.

The Lady Geeks return to SUPER*MARKET at the Nerdist Theatre at Meltdown Comics for another live show, where The Dark Knight Rises was finally discussed (spoiler alerts?) and the ladies battle to almost-to-the-death, defending which mythical creature is the best. It was an epic battle of Mermaids Vs. Unicorns, full of passionate love from both teams.
