TruTV’s Impractical Jokers stepped it up at this year’s San Diego Comic-con 2015 by creating an entire museum dedicated to the show. We were invited to check out the museum during their champagne breakfast for media and fans alike. The display was a lot of fun with fan art hung up on the wall and an artist doing fake airbrushed tattoos.
Q & Sal were awesome enough to sit down with Gizzy B for an interview, watch the video below and check out our photos from the event after the jump.
One of the most prominent anime series in the minds of US otaku is definitely, totally, and probably always will be, DRAGONBALLZ. One of the longest running series in all of nerd-dom, it continues to reinvent itself only just enough so that it tickles our nostalgia, making us nod knowingly about leveling up, or talking about going Super Saiyan.
At San Diego Comic-Con, we were pleased to see the franchise represented in the most kick ass way possible, as Funimation rolls out one after another super fun, fan-focused promotion for their upcoming August release of the English dub of DragonballZ: Resurrection ‘F’.
Nestled on a balcony of Conival’s huge event held in Petco Park during SDCC, the DragonballZ crew went all out to test fans’ power levels to see if they could join Frieza’s army in an event called “FRIEZA FORCE: GALACTIC ARMY BOOTCAMP!” Costumed actors yelled out to passerby to recruit them to the army and test their skills!
Check out this video of one of the most unique and fun marketing experiences set up at SDCC.
Fortune Cookie talks about Anime Expo 2015 and Gizzy B learns what “tsundere” means! We also invent a new type of bishounen through the magic of Spider News and exposes Fortune Cookie’s true nature.
Having just finished nursing a week-long hangover from San Diego Comic Con, I feel it is my duty to report upon the wild Party Wolf life that we had been boasting about pre-SDCC. So here it is, the round up of Party Wolf adventures 2014.. or… “How I felt like my body was physically dying, but I kept on anyhow… FOR THE GOOD OF THE TEAM.” I’d like to start by saying, DESPITE HOW IT LOOKS, we are all into just hanging out with our friends, and looking for a good time to meet other like minded people. Of course it’s always nice to be surprised by a celebrity sighting and cool swag, but if this Comic Con has done anything, it has only reinforced the fact that no matter HOW SWANK DA CLUB MIGHT BE, if your homies aren’t there, you’re gonna end up bailing to go find them and have good times somewhere else. The party wolf went through a pokemon-sort of evolution and became… THE PARTY TIGER. LOYAL TO HER PRIDE/CLAN WHATEVER. ROARRRR.
We were invited again to visit the Power Rangers media suite this year at the San Diego Comic-Con — a haven for fans during the midst of convention madness. The room was once again full of amazing toys (that we wished we had when we were growing up… let’s be honest), including the limited edition Green Ranger Legacy Dragon Dagger. The new Nintendo 3DS game was also featured which we got to play around with for a few minutes. The game will be available later this year in October. There are so many cool things in this year’s suite, and I kind of wished I could own one of the Power Rangers backpacks that were on display.
Check out all our photos below but don’t forget to watch the video above to see our interview with the current cast of Power Rangers Super Megaforce!
The Lady Geeks sit down to talk more about post-Comic-con thoughts, upcoming and current television shows (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D spoilers, by the way) and also, cat health problems because the conversation just tends to devolve into that direction especially during hot summer nights.
