Day 2 of San Diego Comic-Con was spent mostly wandering around the off-site events, including all the activations at the PETCO parking lot. I got to visit the Ice Cream Citadel where the Lich King (from Blizzard’s Hearthstone) presided over his shop as people lined up for free ice cream. Surprisingly, the Deadquarters—The Walking Dead experience— didn’t have a long line and I decided to check it out. It was a nice outdoor lounge, too much sun for me personally, but there was free Mountain Dew and a cool bunker experience!

The Lady Geeks discuss the importance of consent when having a celebrity encounter. You should always ask before hugging… or biting (a fan bit Norman Reedus and it wasn’t us!). The girls celebrate the excellence that is Carrie Fisher and discuss Target pretending that Captain Phasma is a man because apparently girls don’t like Star Wars? The truth is, I haven’t seen a more dedicated fandom than the one for Daryl Dixon. You know, that guy from The Walking Dead television series that all fangirls and fanboys are a little nutty over. I recently just finished a marathon of season 5 of the show and got quite a healthy Norman Reedus dosage while watching the episodes back to back. Which is why this week’s Fanart GLEE is dedicated to Daryl, the most beloved zombie-killer across the nation.
The magic of Wondercon 2015 – Saturday Edition.
We got to geek out with Tara Bennett, who made a career out of her fangirl skills by writing for magazines and companion books for some of our favorite movies and television shows. Listen to her many experiences on different sets, studios and what’s it like to become a zombie on The Walking Dead and be shot in the face by the Governor.
