Space Pirate Queen’s Geek Friday Gift Guide 2015

Ah, yes, here we are. Thanksgiving is over. Some of you are probably a lot like me and is just spending this Friday doing some lazy window shopping online. Ladies, there are now too many adorable “geek” things for us to buy for ourselves and our equally dorky friends. Can you believe it? It wasn’t so long ago we’d had to scrape the Hot Topic stores to find anything to represent our pop-culture tastes. Here are my personal picks for this year in case you still need a little help narrowing down what to buy!

We’ve spotlighted RedBubble.com before because they are pretty awesome. Currently, they are having their Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales and they kindly shared their discount codes with us. For Black Friday, use BF20 and on Cyber Monday use CM20 to get 20% off your purchases!

The X-Files: Why I Choose to Be Optimistic

At this very moment, we are all getting bombarded with nostalgic marketing. All our favorites have been rebooted or are getting a reboot. They won’t stop putting Batman on the big screen and people are ready to sell their first-born for a Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie ticket… admit it, you considered it amidst yesterday’s advance-ticket-pocalypse. The sad truth is that I am one of the enablers and that I am truly excited for these movies. I might be failing my peers in the creative community as a whole.

Independence Day 2

Independence Day is one of my favorite movies. I will fight with anyone’s beloved grandmother to the end that it is one of the most re-watchable films from the 90s. Next year in 2016, the movie will be 20 years old and I have a feeling this sequel is aiming to release in conjunction with that anniversary.

Ep. 69 Stinky Tofu and Sexy Episode

More stinky tofu talk than sexy talk but the Lady Geeks discuss 626 Market Night, the Hobbit movie trilogy and how much Batman spends on his toys. We also talk about our most favorite and least favorite pairings in the science fiction and fantasy genre.

Ep. 40 Vampires Munching

In this episode, we have two new guest hosts: Crystal and Lauren! Since the Space Pirate Queen and Fortune Cookie felt lonely without Gizzy B. We get to know our guests and ramble on about the usual things. Like Transformers, Supernatural, creepy, immortal babies from Twilight, and Edward munching on Bella’s leg like it’s chicken.
