SDCC 2012: ‘Dexter’ Party at the Wired Café
“Party. Dance. Drink. Get Away With Murder.”
That was the tagline for the event held at the Wired Café celebrating the upcoming “Dexter The Game 2”. I was lucky enough to attend this event during San Diego Comic Con and revel in all of the delicious Dexter themed delights.
The event specifically highlighted the involvement and work of fashion designer Marc Ecko with the upcoming game. One of the joys of attending this event was seeing an amazing mural of Dexter and Debra Morgan.
This mural is constructed from knives, scalpels, syringes, and trash bags. These are all materials that Dexter uses when carrying out his own brand of unique justice. I thought that not only was it clever to use these materials, but creative and beautifully executed (har har).
What marvelous detail!
Another very fun aspect of the event was, well, the drinks. Even the bar was transformed to match the theme of the party.
Most importantly, there were Dexter drinks. You heard that right, folks. Check out the menu of medicinal delectables.
I had the Dark Defender and the Seeing Red. I could feel the vengeance running through my veins with each sip I took. At least, I think it was vengeance. Vengeance normally makes you want to dance like an idiot, right?
One of the many reasons I love the Wired Café is because they know how to create a fun and unique atmosphere, and the Dexter After Party was no exception. This was particularly impressive considering that during the day the Wired Café was themed after Game of Thrones. With all that vengeance inside of me, I wound up dancing the night away.
And remember, kids. Dexter is watching you.
