The Hobbit Midnight Screening @ Irvine Spectrum
When the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy were released, my friends and I religiously went to the midnight screening at the Irvine Spectrum. Now that The Hobbit trilogy has come upon us, we are continuing this grand tradition as we travel to Middle Earth for the next three years again!
Check out our photos from the line party below.
The line party was definitely a little bit more elaborate than I remembered it from ten years ago. Fans are definitely excited that we are finally getting The Hobbit on screen since we spent the last decade speculating whether it was really going to happen or not. For me personally, it was worth the long wait. The movie was beautiful and all the feelings stirred inside my little, nerd heart as we were taken back to Middle Earth that night.
The backdrop of the movie always gave me a feeling of pure joy and the stories of friendship (though it’s mostly “bro” friendship between the characters) were always inspiring. In other words, I loved the first installation of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey — the dwarfs were perfect and Martin Freeman as a young Bilbo was even more perfect.
I will stop my rambling there before I throw out any “spoilers” for anyone reading this (what do you mean you haven’t read the book? ;)), so please enjoy the photos from the line party. TheOneRing.net were present and sponsored a costume contest.
Gizzy B and I about to enjoy the movie. Precious, precious movie, my love.
