Disneyland’s Innoventions Features Stark Industries
Innoventions is an often neglected attraction at Tomorrowland in Disneyland. There is hardly any wait to get inside but it’s a great indoor area to sit around and play. Or just get away from the park crowd and from the sun when it’s hot! Innovention is Disney’s family friendly take on a the future of technology and everyday living.
Currently, the main attraction inside Innovention is Iron Man! What a fun idea to collaborate with Stark Industries and display all the suits that were used in the movies. Yet another advantage to the Marvel x Disney marriage. Too bad the Avengers are not “characters” who walk around at the park yet. . . Can you imagine Thor hanging out at Fantasyland?
Gizzy B and I waited in the 20-30 minute line to “Suit Up” which is a 3-minute virtual, interactive game where you get to suit up in an Iron Man. Jarvis puts on some upbeat music and you can dance in the suit if you want to. You get to test your aim and shoot at things for a few seconds before flying off. Pretty cool! It’s definitely for kids but we are very easily amused. . .
And of course, all the Iron Man you can possibly handle up close and personal. Without the annoyance of fighting through a convention crowd to take photos!
Iron Man Selfie!
If you are in Southern California, this might be your best excuse to have a day at Disneyland. Innovention has games for kids but they have also upgraded to XBox and they host a lot of fun, Kinect games for anyone to play with. Again, this is a tip to everyone who visits the park — this is the best place to sit back and relax from the rides and walking all day!
Though we wished they had a guy dressed like Tony Stark or Iron Man talking to people too. C’mon, Disney! Avengers at the park!
