SDCC 2013: Samsung Galaxy Experience
Over the weekend I got to check out the Samsung Galaxy Experience Lounge at San Diego Comic Con. It was so awesome! The lounge was there to promote new Samsung Galaxy products in a deliciously geeky and cool atmosphere.
The set up of the lounge was quite wicked. The walls had multiple phones displaying different images from comic strips.
How creative! I felt like I was in the future. And guess what, kids? There was even an open bar. Mama like.
What was cool about the bar was that it wasn’t just there to satisfy the degenerate thirst of people like yours truly, but to show off the really cool things that their phones could do. There were phones on the bar that displayed the drinks menu. The coolest part was that you flipped through the menu simply by waving your hand in front of the phone. You don’t even have to touch the phone to swipe through pictures and windows. Guys, we are in the future.
The Galaxy Quest drink was delicious, for the record.
There were fun photo booths to show off the other neat things that the phone can do. For instance, it will take “action shot” picture that capture multiple movements of a single person and then display it in a single picture. That way, you can see the progression of the movement. Here, Michelle of IAmChubbyBunny is running across the screen wearing a Viking helmet and looking like a BAMF.
Here Michelle is being interviewed about what she thinks of the new Samsung Galaxy products. I got interviewed as well.
Here was another photo booth. I got to be a superhero! Woohoo!
