Last Labor Day Weekend, my boyfriend and I went to the Redondo Fun Factory in Redondo Beach. I’m not exactly sure how long this arcade has been around, but it practically doubles as a museum. It’s a great mix of really new machines to much, much older arcade games. This includes Pong, Michael Jackson’s Moon Walker, and my personal favorite while growing up, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle arcade. Fun Factory keeps these machines running, even though they seemed to be largely ignored. Though I am sure retro arcade fanatics put more than enough quarters to keep them running once in awhile. I actually wished I had a bucket of quarters while on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle arcade. That game is hard!
If you want a hit of old school arcade nostalgia, this is the place to go. Only a quarter per game for the majority of the machines, too!
The decoration is pretty neat inside, most of it consists of old signs from restaurants, stores, etc.
Not a bad place to go on a little nerd date either.
