This is part one of our audio version of our Dungeons & Dragon Twitch stream with Mike Myler and Savannah Broadway (doesn’t she have an amazing super hero name?!). Listen in as the Lady Geeks struggle through the start of their first D&D session together in years. Click here if you’d prefer to watch the actual video stream.
We finally did it… we played Dungeons & Dragons with Mike Myler and we even streamed it on Twitch.tv!
Mike and Savannah were kind enough to put up with us n00bs (myself and Gizzy B were super n00bs. I think Fortune Cookie knew what she was doing in general, ha!) and let us preview their new project, Mists of Akuma. Watch our hilarious campaign and we will also break down the audio into three parts soon for those who prefer to listen via the podcast.
Enjoy. I’m not sorry that I enjoyed shanking thugs a lot… as my character, of course.
Sure, a game is a game, but if you’re dealing with the Final Fantasy franchise, why not make it a muti media experience that you can live and love through spinoff mini games, movies, anime, and music? Let’s do ALL THE THINGS!
Square Enix hosted an elaborate announcement event in Los Angeles yesterday, “UNCOVERED: Final Fantasy XV,” which was chock full of 14 (!!!) announcements around the franchise.
So let’s see where this leaves our little fandom hearts, shall we?
In this episode, Mike Myler joins us to talk about his latest project, Hypercorps 2099 — a cyberpunk world full of superheroes, monsters and badass historical figures. We also discuss how games can change lives and all the Star Wars movie news! Even though it made Mike cry a little and not in the good way.
Let me preface this review by saying I’ve always felt that if you’re looking to be offended by something, you more than likely will succeed in doing so. This relates to the Sony Vita game/Nintendo 3DS (I played Vita), Conception II, in that I’ve read many reviews decrying the “smutty dating sim” portions of the game dragging down the JRPG portions of the game and that if only the scandalous sim relationship portions of the game were removed, it would be an otherwise enjoyable RPG.
I’m here to say that’s entirely not true.
Conception II is not an RPG hampered by a dating sim, nor is it a dating sim hampered by an RPG, it’s a game that aims to be both at once, and each is inextricably linked to the other.
